Day 57: Rides!

Gabe got a ride a couple of rides at the fair.  I put him on this smaller roller coaster.  I couldn't ride it with him, so I recruited some help!

Jacob's students are EVERYWHERE at the fair.

Gabe admitted he was a bit nervous on this ride, but he loved it and wanted to ride more and more.

Day 56: Ell is 18 months old!

Happy Half Birthday, Ell!  He sat through the entire parade in the stroller.  I think he got nervous about some of the noises and was content to be still next to Daddy the whole time.  What a good boy!

He is about 33 inches tall and nearly 25 pounds. 

6 months old.

Day 55: Parade!

Mommy:  "Gabe, tonight, we are going to the fair and we will see the animals and the rides and have dinner with Papa!"
Gabe:  "But, first, we have to go to Lily's house and see a parade!"

This is one of the biggest events in Abilene all year long.  Everyone sits on the curb on Buckeye, or 3rd street for an hour of entertainment and free candy.  It really is great fun and we have the greatest friends to watch it with that live right on 3rd street.

All day long, you see people putting their chairs out and reserving a space on the parade route.  No one interferes with their things.  Then, we watch the parade and head to the fair!  It's the official start to the fair, the rodeo, and a week of fun in Abilene.

Day 54: Who Does This?

Someone in our house, who shall remain nameless, decided this was enough leftovers to put the tupperware back in the fridge.

I mean, they just couldn't eat those last couple of bites?  But thought someone might enjoy 3 bites of mac and cheese and peas later?

Day 53: Goals Achieved!

I you look at this post, there were some things I wanted to work on with the boys this summer.  Check this out:

Gabe is getting better at brushing his teeth.  The dentist said that the toothpaste for kids is made so that they can swallow it.

Ell is descending the stairs just holding the railing now.

AND, since we have no street or sidewalk, Gabe does not know how to pedal anything.
